Pelosi undergoes ‘successful’ hip replacement surgery in
Luxembourg after injury
. . .
WAY too much wine for lunch ! :-)
She's a teetotaller.
Post by ***@ud0s4.net Yesterday they were downplaying this as just
a minor ding.
Anyhow, this ought to keep her out of our hair
for awhile ...
Why? Members can still keep up and delegate votes. Not that it's needed, hip
replacements, though still major surgery, turn out to fairly accomodating
post-op recovery-wise. I know a couple of older types who replacements, one
actually drove themself to the doc to get the stitches out for the 2 week
check up.
I have two hip replacements (too much pavement running, running up and down
hills with a training group, and running like a madman in soccer games [boy do
I miss that!]).
Had to use a walker for a few weeks after than, then a cane. Worked remotely
for a bit (this was way before covid).
These days I do weight machines, walk a lot, and ride a road bike when weather
permits. One rare occasions I'll jog for 0.5 hours (I used to do 1 hour
runs or more regularly).
It's a very livable limitation.
