A 17-year-old has been certified to stand trial as an adult, accused of 2nd-degree murder and other charges after an uptown Minneapolis shooting in April 2022.

According to a criminal complaint, just before midnight on April 23, 2022, officers working in the downtown area broadcast that gunshots had been heard near Hennepin Ave. & Lagoon Ave.

Responding officers found a male victim bleeding and on the ground near the Mozaic Parking Ramp. A Good Samaritan was providing first aid, but paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene and officers found a gun nearby.

Investigators reviewed surveillance video in the area and observed Leontawan Lentez Holt, 25, and Jaqwon James Smith—who was 16 years old at the time—at Williams Pub.

Video shows Holt punching another patron at the bar, starting a brawl. Smith joined in the fight and assaulted the individual along with Holt. The victim and another male ran back into the bar when the fight began but left less than a minute later.

The fight was then broken up and Holt and Smith exited Williams Pub with three other people. They were captured on other video surveillance systems after leaving the bar. In one video, Holt hands Smith a handgun, which he hides in his pocket.

PREVIOUS: Fight at Uptown Bar Leads to Gunfire, Man Dead

Shortly after, Holt’s group walk west toward the victim, who was walking east. After passing each other, the victim appeared to try and pull something out of his pocket.

The video shows Holt and Smith turn and fire shots towards the victim, who was struck by the gunfire. Holt and Smith then fled the area in a Dodge Charger at a high rate of speed.

YOUTUBE: VIDEO on the night of the shooting

The vehicle was located nearby and officers discovered a silver handgun in the front seat. Forensic testing determined the casings found at the scene were fired from the gun found in the vehicle. A bullet was recovered from the victim’s body, but it didn’t match the gun that was found at the scene.

Based on that information and video evidence, it was determined that Holt fired the gun that killed the victim.

Both Holt and Smith are being held on 2nd-degree murder charges and face up to 40 years in prison if convicted.

Stearns County Jail

(KNSI) – A 19-year-old is accused of raping a girl at knifepoint during a high school basketball game in St. Cloud.

According to the criminal complaint, a 15-year-old girl reported to a therapist she was assaulted by Robert Shannon Epps Jr. in December of 2019 at an Apollo High School basketball game.

The victim says sometime during the game; she went to the bathroom. She says she heard someone come into the bathroom shortly after she did, and the person shook her stall door.

Investigators say as the girl left the stall, Epps grabbed her by her sweatshirt, threw her against the stall, pulled out a pocket knife, and threatened to cut her.

The girl says she tried to resist but was overpowered.

Police met with the victim in April of 2020.

She says Epps and her went to the same school, and he had been harassing her. The girl says she thinks Epps wanted to date her, but she rejected him.

Epps was interviewed in May of 2020 and denied sexually assaulting the girl. He said the two met in the bathroom and kissed.

He’s been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

His next court hearing is set for April 13th.

As well we should. Trump made one of the worst diplomatic deals in US history
and handed Biden the dirty end of the stick.
And you're suggesting that Biden was so incompetent that he didn't
realize that and decide to make changes?
Good leaders don't make changes to
treaties made by their predecessors.

Would you support Cuba overrunning
Gitmo because it "no longer recognizes"
the treaty giving America right to that
portion of THEIR island?

Just how many British airports did George Washington's troops
overrun, anyway?
Fewer than Biden/Harris surrendered in Afghanistan.
Uh, it was Trump/Pompeo who surrendered to the Taliban.
Both were out of power when Biden/Harris surrendered.
:-D Biden implemented Trump's surrender as per the deal....
The "deal" was voided when the Taliban violated its terms.
They violated the terms while Trump was still in office, why didn't HE void the
deal?

It doesn't surprise me that going back on your word is, to you, Scout, a
perfectly normal and acceptable thing to do. Your word is worthless and you
have no honor.

The Taliban didn't make an agreement with "Donald Trump", they made an agreement
with the "United States". Who would trust our word if we went back on every
agreement we made every time we changed Presidents?

Yes, and once again, this is the downside of Trump throwing away the Iran deal
instead of honoring our country's word. Worse, it set precedent. Putin has
been abrogating nuclear weapons treaties. Of course, Bush did also by exiting
the ABM treaty of 1972.

State Department Certifies Iran's Compliance
With Nuclear Deal
July 17, 2017

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson recertified
Iran's compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal
late Monday, but senior administration
officials emphasized that Tehran is a dangerous
threat to both U.S. interests and Middle East
stability.

Among other things, it requires that Tehran
reduce its stockpile of enriched uranium by
98 percent, remove two-thirds of its
centrifuges and remove the core of its heavy
water reactor.

Under U.S. law, the State Department is required
to recertify to Congress Iran's compliance with
the nuclear deal every 90 days. Despite President
Trump's harsh criticism of the agreement forged
under his predecessor, it is the second such
certification since he took office.

Did Biden give his word?

So how could he go back on it?

I certainly find it interesting that he reversed course on other promises
made by Trump and you were all in favor of it.

So why the sudden change? Is it to cover up Biden's ineptitude?
or the fact that they realized as we did that Biden was a stuffed shirt who
has never accomplished anything for all his years in government.. other than
getting elected.

candidates for the offices of President and Vice President,

held to determine the electors of President and Vice President in
accordance with title 3, United States Code, sections 1 and 2. The

The Counterterrorism Section of the National Security Division has
supervisory authority over 18 U.S.C. §§ 871 and 879 cases. As great
caution must be taken in matters relating to the security of the persons
protected by 18 U.S.C. § 871, United States Attorneys are encouraged to
consult with the Counterterrorism Section (CTS) of the National Security
Division when they have doubts on the prosecutive merit of a case. For
the same reason, dismissal of complaints under 18 U.S.C. § 871, when the
defendant is in custody under the Mental Incompetency Statutes (18
U.S.C. §§ 4244, 4246), requires approval from CTS. In other cases,
United States Attorneys must consult prior to dismissing a count

settlement involving a § 871 charge.

PHOENIX –David Michael Hanson, 41, of Phoenix, was arrested on Wednesday
for making online threats against the President and Vice-President.
Hanson was charged by Federal criminal complaint on Tuesday with five
counts of Threats Against the President and Successors to the Presidency
and five counts of Interstate Communication of Threats.

The complaint alleges that in November and December of 2023, while
living in Arizona, Hanson used a social media platform to post threats
to murder the President and Vice President of the United States. On
November 19, 2023, Hanson posted online a series of threatening
statements including one that stated, “#joeAndKamala I’m asking you to
resign on Monday your alternative is death brutally murdered.” After the
U.S. Secret Service spoke to Hanson and warned him that it was a Federal
crime to post such threats, on December 23, 2023, Hanson posted another
series of similar threats aimed at the President and Vice-President.

Each count of Threats Against the President and Successors to the
Presidency carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison, a fine of
up to $250,000, and up to three years of supervised release. Each count
of Interstate Communication of Threats carries a maximum sentence of
five years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and up to three years of
supervised release.

A complaint is simply a method by which a person is charged with
criminal activity and raises no inference of guilt. An individual is
presumed innocent until evidence is presented to a jury that establishes
guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

The United States Secret Service is conducting the investigation in this
case. The United States Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona, is
handling the prosecution.

It will never be said that Biden sat down with the Taliban and trusted
them to abide by a surrender deal.
Especially by Biden.

As well we should. Trump made one of the worst diplomatic deals in US history
and handed Biden the dirty end of the stick.
Which Biden could have refused to accept.
No, he couldn't. A nation can simply break it's word and abandon it's
agreements every time new leadership comes to power. That would make us
untrustworthy and who would deal honestly with us then?
--
Today's two reasons to not vote for Trump in 36 days.

21) Trump separated more than 5000 children from their
parents at the border with no plan to ever reunite them.
Putting babies in cages without their families.

22) The Muslim Ban.

No, o oozing scarlet red maxipad (whose mouth waters at the thought of his
mommy's warm mackerel-reeking snatch), he couldn't.

The withdrawal from Afghanistan was going to be a chaotic debacle no matter when
it was done and no matter who was in office. The bombing at Kabul airport was a
suicide attack that the U.S. could have done *nothing* to prevent. There were
suicide bombings in both Afghanistan and Iraq for years, when we had massive
forces in both countries. The Afghan puppet regime had *already* collapsed, and
the U.S. could not have done a thing to prevent that. Even if it hadn't, they
couldn't have prevented the suicide bombing, either.

Bush is the only president who bears any responsibility for those 13 dead U.S.
military. We never should have had military in Afghanistan.

And after _so many_ public death threats you issued on Trump and Vance...

living in Arizona, Hanson used a social media platform to post threats
to murder the President and Vice President of the United States. On
November 19, 2023, Hanson posted online a series of threatening
statements including one that stated, “#joeAndKamala I’m asking you to
resign on Monday your alternative is death brutally murdered.” After the

Bush is the only president who bears any responsibility for those 13 dead U.S.

Obama should have started pulling them out the day after Bin Laden was executed.
He was the only reason we were there in the first place.

As well we should.  Trump made one of the worst diplomatic deals in US
history and handed Biden the dirty end of the stick.
Which Biden could have refused to accept.
No, he couldn't....
Yes, he could.
No, o oozing scarlet red maxipad (whose mouth waters at the thought of
his mommy's warm mackerel-reeking snatch), he couldn't.
The withdrawal from Afghanistan was going to be a chaotic debacle no
matter when it was done and no matter who was in office. The bombing at
Kabul airport was a suicide attack that the U.S. could have done
*nothing* to prevent. There were suicide bombings in both Afghanistan
and Iraq for years, when we had massive forces in both countries. The
Afghan puppet regime had *already* collapsed, and the U.S. could not
have done a thing to prevent that. Even if it hadn't, they couldn't have
prevented the suicide bombing, either.
Bush is the only president who bears any responsibility for those 13

Bush? You been drinking again?

William Jefferson Clinton
Presidential term: January 20, 1993 – January 20, 2001
Party: Democratic Party
Vice president: Al Gore (1993–2001)

October 15, 1999
An Al-Qaeda, Taliban Nexus
The UN Security Council adopts Resolution 1267, creating the so-called
al-Qaeda and Taliban Sanctions Committee, which links the two groups as
terrorist entities and imposes sanctions on their funding, travel, and
arms shipments. The UN move follows a period of ascendancy for al-Qaeda
and its leader, Osama bin Laden, who guided the terror group from
Afghanistan and Peshawar, Pakistan, in the late 1980s, to Sudan in 1991,
and back to Afghanistan in the mid-1990s. The Taliban, which rose from
the ashes of Afghanistan’s post-Soviet civil war, provide al-Qaeda
sanctuary for operations.

That limp dick Clinton is responsible for the US being dragged into
Afghanistan.

His negotiations were not carried on with the legitimate government of the
country but with a terrorist group. One which, I hasten to remind you, harbored
Osama Bin Laden after 9/11 and helped him escape from our grasp in 2001.

It seems clear enough.

The Taliban made a deal with the United States and we were bound to abide by it
no matter who occupied the White House.

That you think America can simply go back on its word just because we had an
election surprises me none at all.

Btw, you certainly are being selective about the questions you answer.

Then why didn't Trump suspend the deal?
Were he still president, he might have.

The Taliban broke their part from the very start. Answer the question, why
didn't Trump break the deal since the Taliban already had?

A: Because he's a chicken shit, an appeaser, a cut and run coward.

Yes. The withdrawal was not negotiated with the legally recognized government
of the country but with a terrorist group which, I'll remind you again, harbored
Bin Laden after 9/11 and helped him escape from us.

Today's two reasons to not vote for Trump in 36 days.

21) Trump separated more than 5000 children from their
parents at the border with no plan to ever reunite them.
Putting babies in cages without their families.

22) The Muslim Ban.

letter, paper, writing, print, missive, or document containing any
threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon
the President of the United States, the President-elect, the Vice

held to determine the electors of President and Vice President in
accordance with title 3, United States Code, sections 1 and 2. The

the same reason, dismissal of complaints under 18 U.S.C. § 871, when the

U.S.C. §§ 4244, 4246), requires approval from CTS. In other cases,
United States Attorneys must consult prior to dismissing a count

https://www.secretservice.gov/newsroom/releases/2024/01/phoenix-man-arrested-making-online-death-threats-against-president-and

Two more reasons to not vote for Trump in 26 days.

40) Knowing the crowd had deadly weapons, he ordered them
to go to the Capitol and "Fight like hell!"

41) Trump betrayed his oath to defend the nation by doing nothing
to stop the January 6th violence. Instead, according to witness
testimony, he sat and watched TV for hours!

Today's two reasons to not vote for Trump in 37 days.

19) Trump caused the longest government shutdown in US
history when he didn't get funding for his border wall,
which he said Mexico was going to pay for.

20) Trump increased the national debt by 40% in just four years.

Actually Trump's "cut and run" demand was
for them to withdrawn by Christmas.

Military officials blindsided by
Trump announcement of early US
troop withdrawal from Afghanistan
Oct 8, 2020

The U.S. military was blindsided
Thursday by President Donald Trump’s
assertion that all U.S. troops will
be out of Afghanistan by the end of
the year, with U.S. officials saying
they are not aware of such a plan and
have gotten no actual order to
accelerate the more gradual pullout
they’ve been executing.

Trump’s comments, laid out in a
confusing progression of comments and
a tweet, alarmed Pentagon and State
officials who fear that putting a
definitive date on troop withdrawal
could undercut negotiations to finalize
a peace deal between the Taliban and the
Afghan government. They also fear a hasty
withdrawal could force the U.S. to leave
behind sensitive military equipment.

Military officials blindsided by
Trump announcement of early US
troop withdrawal from Afghanistan
Oct 8, 2020
The U.S. military was blindsided
Thursday by President Donald Trump’s
assertion that all U.S. troops will
be out of Afghanistan by the end of
the year, with U.S. officials saying
they are not aware of such a plan and
have gotten no actual order to
accelerate the more gradual pullout
they’ve been executing.
Trump’s comments, laid out in a
confusing progression of comments and
a tweet, alarmed Pentagon and State
officials who fear that putting a
definitive date on troop withdrawal
could undercut negotiations to finalize
a peace deal between the Taliban and the
Afghan government. They also fear a hasty
withdrawal could force the U.S. to leave
behind sensitive military equipment.

Trump showed that this behavior could be employed without significant
push-back.

Remember when Gary Hart's campaign was torpedoed by being photographed
with the beautiful Donna Rice on the good ship "Monkey Business"?

A Miami Herald editor who participated in the paper's initial Hart
scandal stories disputed the possibility of a conspiracy theory
involving Lee Atwater as published in The Atlantic,[70] which described
a reputed deathbed admission by Atwater that he had staged the incident
with Donna Rice aboard the yacht Monkey Business.

Of the approximately 3,600 Swift boat sailors who served in Vietnam, the
names of some 200 appeared on the group's statement against Kerry; most
did not serve at the same time or in the same place as Kerry.[7] Of
those who served in Kerry's boat crew, only Stephen Gardner joined
SBVT.[8] He was not present on any of the occasions when Kerry earned
his medals, including his Purple Hearts. Gardner appeared in two of the
group's television advertisements. All other living members of Kerry's
crew supported his presidential bid, and some frequently campaigned with
him as his self-described "band of brothers". Kerry crew members have
disputed some of SBVT's various allegations, calling them "totally

smearing the military service of his opponent, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz,
all I could think was: Seriously? Are we really doing this again?

Are we really going to allow Republicans — who are freaking out now that
their presumed glide path back to the White House has become a very
bumpy road — to slime Walz the way they slimed Vietnam veteran John
Kerry 20 years ago?

Just how many British airports did George Washington's troops overrun,
anyway?
Fewer than Biden/Harris surrendered in Afghanistan.
Uh, it was Trump/Pompeo who surrendered to the Taliban.
Both were out of power when Biden/Harris surrendered.
The surrender occurred in September 2020. Biden wasn't President then.
So you think our "defeated" troops stayed incountry a year after
"surrendering"?!?
We had to follow the agreed-upon timeline, jeenius.

Accurate as far is at goes, but premature. This article was written before the
withdrawal was complete and focused on the domestic security forces culpability
in the Taliban takeover. It notes that Bush started the war and botched it. It
also notes that Trump bypassed the legitimate government, choosing instead to
negotiate with the very terrorists who harbored Bin Laden and helped him escape
from us in 2001.

Your position that the mess was entirely Biden's fault is wrong and is not
supported by your cite.

Interesting read as a timeline of actions related to the withdrawal.

The evacuation, o oozing scarlet red maxipad (whose mouth waters at the thought

withdrawal. As I have already instructed you and all your fellow stupid
treasonous knuckle-dragging neo-Nazi fellows, o oozing scarlet red maxipad

the final withdrawal or "evacuation" was going to be a chaotic debacle no matter

orders of magnitude *worse* had Trump been president.

Two more reasons to not vote for Trump in 26 days.

40) Knowing the crowd had deadly weapons, he ordered them
